ABOUT

Niamh Fahy is an artist specialising in Print and photography , currently based in Bristol, she is embarking on a M.A. in Multidisciplinary Printmaking.  Interested in  notions of transformation and transience, the landscapes and scenes portrayed in her practice play with the externalization of an inner world. Viewing movement as a meditative process, she examines impermanence and change within the landscape as a way of understanding internal shifts and transformation. Through her prints she explores immersive spaces occupied with ambiguous narratives, soft shadows and moments of confusion or clarity. Considering her surroundings as a source of both sanctuary and confinement, she abstracts and juxtaposes elements of the physical landscape with more figurative forms and symbols.
